St Michael's Mount is a Castle within a tidal Island within Mount's Bay, Cornwall England. The Island is connected to the town of Marazion by means of a man made causeway of granite, and can only be reached when the tide is out as the sea covers the causeway and the mount making it inaccessible by foot. However, when the tide is out anyone visiting can walk across it and enjoy the Island. It is now in the hands of the national trust however the St Aubyn family continue to live in the Castle managing the island as they have since the middle of the 17th century. The Castle boasts a crossbow for hunting hares and rabbits, A piece of Napolean's coat which he wore at the battle of waterloo, and the sofa that Queen Victoria sat on.
