About the Artist: Wayne Chunat is a wildlife artist from Lakeland Florida. He is a self-taught artist but has over the years attended workshops presented by artists such as Don Altemus, Arleta Pech, Robert Bateman, John Seere-Lester, Hiner Hertling, John Banovich, Fred Leach, George Wervey and David Rankin. It has always been his intention to change attitudes toward nature through his artwork. Wayne tries to tell a story about the subject and its environment that makes the viewer feel they are a part of a living, breathing world that no one totally controls. It is his life's ambition to see his talents support the development of parks and natural areas and to assist conservation efforts at home and throughout the world.
