About the Artist: Ilonka Muensterer-Maar is a German self-taught artist painting in watercolor and acrylics. What many years ago began as a hobby has meanwhile developed into a full-time occupation. Being a member of the local Art Association she has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions. She is also a member of the German Watercolor Society and the Frankonian Art Association. Inspiration is one of the most important things for her as an artist. Ilonka explains how she is in the fortunate position to spend some weeks in South Africa every year, and gets really fascinated by the nature and the wildlife - for her an inexhaustible source of ideas for paintings.
