About the artist: Steffen Faisst was born in Germany, and is an educated biologist and has worked in Research and Development in Germany, France and for the last 16 years Denmark. The curiosity and focus on detail that helped him to be a researcher also led Steffen to detect the beauty of these minute water worlds. Since he was a student, Steffen has engaged in close-up and macro photography of still motifs. The experience he's gained from these exercises helped him to engage in close-up and macro photography of quickly moving water phenomena.
