About the Artist: I am a junior nursing major at Belmont University. I started painting my junior year of high school and fell in love with it. Since then, I have taken a few painting and clay classes at my university and have learned a lot from artists I've gotten to know back home in Kansas City. My love for art is multi-dimensional. At a personal level, it is a way for me to explore the beauty of the world which never fails to bring me so much peace and joy. I am not much of a writer, so painting and drawing are my way of journaling. But beyond myself, I have found that sharing art with other people brings a light to their eyes that may have otherwise gone unnoticed. Because of this, I continue to paint!
