Yelena Patskevich

Yelena Patskevich developed her impressionist-style of painting with pastel and oil on paper and canvas. Her themes are nature and urban landscapes, seascapes, portraits, animals, still life and illustrations. Yelena has won numerous awards in Plein Air, Gallery Exhibition and Art Competition events.

“I started to paint again full time in 2009 in Milwaukee, WI. A major reason for this was to embed my life energy into paintings while working as a nurse with hospice patients. I saw how much of it affected them, and realized the profound impact I could have on people through my art. In my recent works, I've tried to showcase the natural beauty of the Milwaukee area and its intricate architecture. I try to focus my work on the suburbs and parks of Milwaukee and emphasize how important it is to preserve their natural beauty. Additionally, I capture the delicate architecture of historic buildings around Downtown and East Side areas. One of my goals is to create illustrations of the people of this beautiful city and to capture their moods, emotions and motions through everyday life, especially children.”

“Additionally, I have been seeing the beauty and the colors of blooming plants and flowers around Milwaukee. I would like to make Milwaukee more colorful as seen through my works and to add a sense of exotic beauty. Lastly, I focus on the beautiful sky and seascapes to bring the whole city together as an unexpected colorful paradise.”
