Anupama Nair

Anupama Nair was born and brought up in India where she was introduced to diverse culture, traditions, arts, history, languages and festivals. All of these continue to stay a part of me as a self-taught artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her works are mostly abstract and can be classified as a modern and an expressionist kind of artwork. Anupama’s favorite medium is acrylic and most of her works have dominant shades of blue and yellow. Her artworks are an expression of self, her feelings, the society and life around her. She also is a big follower of ancient Indian Temple Mural Art. Anupama is an engineer by profession and an artist by passion. At some point she is planning to take her passion for art to the next level - seeking for opportunities and exploring the audience to help mold her artistic career.

“I prefer freedom in self-expression - not tied to any color, theme or style. Unpredictable things come up and I help them take a definite form and express in my work. My works are mostly a reflection of what I go through at that point of life.“ ~ Anupama Nair
