Yep!  Welcome to Sofa Sunday...

Happy Holidays!

Take your time and peruse our Gallery.  There is a great deal of amazing art and super Holiday ideas for gifts!

Thank you for supporting our Artists who in fact are small businesses, our vendors, us and the charities we support.  We are each small businesses who are authentic in are pursuits and dreams.

“The Joy of brightening other lives, bearing each others’ burdens, easing each other’s loads and supplanting empty hearts and lives with generous gifts becomes for us the magic of the holidays.”

–W. C. Jones

Thanksgiving and Christmas are about giving, love, friendship and more. This is the time of year when we focus a little more intently on others. Art allows people from different cultures and different times to communicate with each other via images.

And through those images people tell their stories or hardship and success, joy and sadness. Art, at times, is the only means to express what is haunting our souls. It is often a vehicle for social change. We believe is paramount! ART must exist in all of our lives, if we are to live our best lives and be humane.

Therefore; instead of reducing our prices and seducing you with meaningless Black Friday deals. We will offer different art Giclee reproductions, for charitable donations. We encourage you not just to purchase at the base price listed, rather pay more. As much as your generous heart wants to give and your pocket can afford.😊 The Gallery is waiving all their fees. Only the costs will be subtracted. The balance will be shared between the two charities, we support.

Visit us each day, to see what the offering will be for that day.

“The Joy of brightening other lives, bearing each others’ burdens, easing each other’s loads and supplanting empty hearts and lives with generous gifts becomes for us the magic of the holidays.” –W. C. Jones

Lazy Sunday

Lazy Sunday by Jesse Hashagen.   Jesse Hashagen wants to paint the scenes we pass every day but pass by or can't appreciate in the moment. He wants to take a snapshot of life and make it relatable to the audience.

“The smell of a home cooked meal or walking into a new place can bring back memories, initiating a feeling or emotion. This is a connection we have to our past and our present. It can be comforting, unnerving or even induce anxiety, but it always leaves us feeling a “certain” way. This is the connection people have to life, and to art. Seeing something that makes the viewer feel or remember something from their lives is how we connect art to people.” Jesse Hashagen

Crooked Tracks

Crooked Tracks by Barry Nemett.  The reader travels with Stephen, a 16 year old, through time and places as they shift and collide.   Scenes   are   set  in Renaissance  Italy  and  Hackensack, New Jersey.   Through the eyes of Stephen,  the  main character, we  see beyond  historical moments  and conventional minutes to focus on how

we  experience  time  in   grief and joy.    This  heartbreaking, yet  surprisingly   upbeat,  life-affirming  story   explores   the influence  of  friends and family, the gentle force of romance, the  challenge   of  redemption, and  ultimately, the wonder of how a life can seemingly fall

apart and come together at once, as  the reader follows the crooked tracks of a youthful journey.

This is an awesome read, which includes a plethora of art.  This is a 278 page, soft-cover book, which makes an Awesome gift.  This book retails for $39.99, but today it is 50% OFF!

What Up Little Trippy Dudes

What Up Little Trippy Dudes by Niki Zahava.  If the title doesn't put a smile on your face... what does?  Niki is one of our newer Artists and we love her!  Her vest for life and enthusiasm shows through in everything she does.

“Inspired by my mother’s art, when I was 4 years old and living in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, NY, I found a box of her oil pastels and outlined the various shapes within the plaster on the walls throughout the apartment. Although colorful, this early exploration as an artist was not appreciated by my mother and thus, my career as a muralist ended. My adult art journey began with digital pastels and digital blending stumps on an iPad. I began to incorporate a few drawing techniques I had learned as an undergraduate student and began creating art digitally."  ~Niki Zahava

Spheres of Influence

In honor of the Native American Indian and Alaskan Indian Heritage Day,  we are kicking this Black Friday off with one of the Gallery's favorite Artist.  Sharon also is a Distinguished Artist.  Owning one of Sharon's art pieces is a MUST HAVE!

Sharon never plans her canvases; which is the complete opposite of her life.  Sharon intuitively knows days before she begins what the size of the canvas will be.  Sharon never knows what the canvas will ultimately look like, once completed.  However; she does know what feeling it will omit.  Once Sharon begins painting, the first couple of color choices are again instinctual.  After the design becomes evident, Sharon then begins to methodically choose the colors.  This is so she can build a balanced, visually pleasing painting.  Sharon’s paintings are about color first, design second.  Color is always the vehicle used in order to deliver the intended message.

Sharon has graciously added to this Black Friday Deal!  Purchase this stunning 20" x 24" Giclee Reproduction for only $200 and she will send you a copy of her book of poetry and a small matted print of a different work.  This is an INCREDIBLE deal!  Act Fast!
