"Flotsam is floating on the waves in the ocean. I am concerned about the amount of trash that is discarded in the sea that ends up on our beaches every year. I first work with Polyfilla or spackling to create the textured waves, then multiple paint pours to create the water, then a collage of discarded objects collected on beaches. The paintings is finished with resin that creates a very lustrous effect and further enhances the sense of water." ~ Oenone Hammersley
