About the Artist:
Melissa attended Purdue University, earning her BFA. The shelter-in-place period of quarantine in 2020 inspired her to return to the practice of making art. When she is not seeking out photographic opportunities, she spends her time as an elementary school teacher.
“As an artist, I strive to portray the world as I see it. I hope to inspire the viewer to observe the world using a unique perspective. I am constantly intrigued by the interaction between color, shape, and atmosphere. By shifting focus, even the ordinary becomes extraordinary.
