“I consider myself both an illustrator and fine artist with distinct emphasis on light, contrast and composition. As an illustrator, I have been critiqued to add concept to my work and avoid just making "pretty pictures." I have stuck by this idea, and feel my work brings to mind a mood, feeling or story. As a fine artist I have done the same, yet a lot of my "stories" are open to interpretation by the viewer. I feel that my style includes the best of both worlds.”
