Hadis Jafari

Hadis Jafari was born in 1981 in Tehran, Iran. She has studied drawing and painting under the guidance of some of the best Iranian masters and finished her academic education with Master of Architecture in 2017. She has presented her works nationally ever since.

“I create a fantasy world from what is happening around me and then show my created world in my paintings. Although, it looks dreamy, but my works have its roots in real events and daily happenings. They are a mixture of reality and dreams on canvas.”

“In my paintings, women are not legendary and ideal. By applying strategies, I distorted the repetitive stereotypes of the woman's image and create new images and concepts again. Feeling expression through color and contrast, women’s living, emotional and exciting experiences suggesting hesitation in a modern world have been shown in my works. The images have direct, focused, and expressive look that lead the viewer's look to a specific point.”
