Emma Lord

Emma Lord owns a photography business in Wiltshire, where she splits her time between raising her young son, caring for the many rescue animals they share a home with, photographing and writing. Emma specializes in animal portraits, and macro work. Her other main strand of photography work fuses photographs with digital processes to create fine art images.

"I think about the meaning behind my art, and the emotions that I would like the viewer to experience when looking at my pictures. My philosophy is to be true to myself and find pleasure in what I create. Rather than focus on technical perfection, I focus on what’s in my heart. I try to infuse each piece of work with a piece of me." ~Emma Lord

“My personal projects use photography to help raise awareness of various causes, all of them concerning subjects close to my heart. Collections include series on veganism, British wildlife, and mental health awareness. My vegan portfolio has been exhibited in London and Beijing, and my mental health images were shown as part of the first Swindon Wellbeing and Arts Festival in February 2019. Later in 2019, my British Wildlife pictures were exhibited at the Liberation Arts festival in Bristol. In September 2019, I was accepted as a collaborator for the Art of Compassion Project, an international art collective that aims to support the compassionate lifestyle of veganism.” ~Emma Lord
