Beatriz Morera

Beatriz Morera was born in Holguin, Cuba in 1995 and began to draw and paint at a very early age. In 2014 Beatriz graduated as a professional artist from Professional Academy of Fine Arts "El Alba" Painting Program and obtained the Best Student's Distinction. She has participated in many collective and sole exhibitions and through the last year she has develop an artistic project called Made in Casa, in order to speak about the scarcity phenomenon in the Cuban society and the continuous effort of each Cuban person in the fight for his own and his family's subsistence. At present she is studying at the university.

“My artwork, shows my interest in the use of different techniques in drawings and paintings, as well as the representation of living things. In the conceptual aspect, you can see a reference to Cuban culture through representative elements: the fauna and especially the expressiveness of the color as a symbol of the Cuban's nature. Life is full of color, and I can show you!!!”
