Y Hope Osborn
Blessed are the weird people: poets, misfits, writers, mystics, painters, troubadours for they teach us to see the world through different eyes. -Jacob Nordby
Y. Hope Osborn built on a lifelong writing talent, earning an MA in Professional and Technical Writing with Creative Nonfiction emphasis in 2020. She is a freelance writer and emerging artist, residing in Little Rock, Arkansas, USA, predominantly exploring black and white photography that impacts like a sonic boom and a unique genre of work that twists photographic and digital mediums into colorful and often whimsical abstracts. She publishes stories about mushrooms and writes about personal traumas. Hope’s writing and photography works are published, exhibited, and awarded, but for her, being a great author and artist is to be entrusted to express reality and imagination that captivates, inspires, or informs while enriching lives by the grace of God.
Today, Hope is a freelance writer and emerging artist, residing in Little Rock, Arkansas, USA—a city becoming a mecca for artists. During the last three years, her creativity is rewarded with two solo spotlight and multiple group exhibits, awards in international competitions, and publications of creative writing and art, sometimes in concert. Hope has made her life experience work for her. She believes if you are truly an artist you have done something all your life to prove it in one medium or another.
She explores predominantly black and white photography and a unique genre of work that twists photographic and digital mediums into colorful and often whimsical abstracts. She publishes stories on mushrooms to educate and entertain and writes about personal traumas to encourage and empathize. She photographs for black and whites to impact you like a sonic boom and creates in color abstracts that are from and of a world you and I make of it.
