Lisa Briand has been telling stories through photographs since high school, when her brother gave her a Pentax K1000 SLR. Lisa is inspired by the beauty in everyday life. With a unique eye for color and texture, Lisa creates vibrant works of art from nature. Lisa’s other life as a research scientist hones her attention to detail and precision which is seen in her composition.
As mother of two fast moving boys, nature photography forces Lisa to slow down and observe the world around her. She aims to bring some of this serenity to others through her art. Lisa lives in Havertown, Pennsylvania with her family.
“I seek to find the beauty in the ordinary. I am drawn to the natural geometry of plants and flowers and produce bold, vibrant prints highlighting this geometry.”
