Daniel Godson is an Australian photographer inspired by real connections with the people and places he encounters. The deeper the connection is naturally with a person or places the more opportune the moment seems to be for something truly special to evolve. Art and creativity have always thrived in his life whenever he is engaged with whatever makes him feel alive. Whether it is adventuring deep into the wilderness, interacting with special people who enter Daniels life for a time, or simply wandering various destinations alone with nothing by his camera and a desire to capture something that emotes him. This philosophy is deeply rooted in Daniels desire to 'leave life alone'. To let things be. Allow moments and interactions to happen organically. Art and creativity flow through all aspects of life when attuned to it. We only need to act on these ideas and ideals as they come our way, and we will effortlessly connect and manifest that which we love
“My art accomplishments can be gauged by the intense love and purpose I have found within the simple act of creating throughout my life. I measure my success by how art and photography drive me to have experienced. To push myself to new heights. To override fear and adapt to change. I measure my accomplishments by the relationships I have forged and the connections with people I otherwise would not have been extended the privilege.”
“Growing up I always had a film or still camera in my hand. Always editing and striving to see the potential in any simple idea. My greatest achievement is being able to sustain that feeling and purpose my entire life. The one thing that will always stay with me. I believe that if you do what makes you come alive in life then your art will reflect those experiences based on your human condition. This is the simplest way to find who you are both artistically and purposefully.”
