Benjamin Gill

In October of 2003, Benjamin Gill met his mentor Ira Hayden, who owned Gallery Celtica in central Phoenix. Up until meeting Ira, he’d never considered selling his art in a professional venue. From that point on, Benjamin began showing and selling his art in his gallery until the building sold and Gallery Celtica was forced to close its doors in August of 2016. During this time he volunteered and assisted Ira with setting up shows, as well as working with the numerous artists that came through the gallery.

“I love creating fantasy or Science fiction scenarios in my art. Images that exist only in my mind. I also love creating spiritual, symbolic works of art too. Art is in many ways spiritual to me. We need food and water to survive. I believe peoples’ spirits need art, music, and literature in the same way to nourish them and help them expand and grow. My mentor, Ira Hayden once said that artists are the archangels of the world. I love that image. We are the gate keepers to our own personal worlds of fantastic imagination. Only we can open that window and let the world look inside, one picture at time. My art is my Super Power – my only gift I have to give the world. I hope that gift, the body of work I create in my life time, will be loved and cared for far into the future, and give future generations just as much wonder and joy.”
